In a world where society constantly pushes us to fit into certain molds, contradictions are everywhere. We’re told to be proud and to stand out, just not too much. We’re encouraged to embrace body positivity, but only within acceptable limits.

One of the most striking contradictions I explore in my work is the taboo surrounding the female body, especially the nipple. While society shouts “body positivity,” it still censors and sexualizes the female form. Where is the line between art and obscenity? When does the body become sexual, and who decides?

Many traditional faiths do tend to regulate or suppress expressions of female sensuality. This is often justified by the idea that a woman’s sensuality is always provocative or dangerous, only seen through the perspective of its potential effect on men. Modesty becomes a moral obligation, and female sensuality is frequently associated with temptation or sin. However, for many women, embracing their sensuality is not about seducing others but about connecting with their bodies, power, and identity. Sensuality can be an expression of autonomy and wholeness. It can be spiritual, artistic, liberating, completely divorced from the male vision.

I do understand that some images can challenge, provoke, or even unsettle. I deliberately play with that fine line

I’m deeply inspired by classical art especially ancient mosaics like those in Pompeii. My use of pixels is inspired by that tradition, reimagined through a modern lens. Today, we constantly stare at pixels on screens, but what are we really seeing?

Sometimes, we need distance to see the full picture.

Life is a continuous search, not just for reality, but for the many perspectives that shape it. In a world full of contradictions and hypocrisy, my work is about those tensions, exploring new truths, and seeking balance in the chaos.
